How do I plan my build sessions?

Break the build into sub-assemblies that can be painted separately. Plan sessions around drying times — paint one sub-assembly, let it dry, work on the next. This maximises productive time.

How long should each session be?

Most modellers find 1.5–2.5 hour sessions optimal. Shorter sessions lose too much time to setup. Longer sessions lead to fatigue and mistakes. Take breaks when doing detail work.

What order should I build in?

The general order is: clean parts, assemble sub-assemblies, fill and sand, prime, paint, decal, clear coat, final assembly, weathering. Paint interiors and hidden areas before closing assemblies.

Total calendar time includes both working sessions and drying wait time. Use drying days to work on other sub-assemblies or prepare next steps.
