Army Points Calculator — Build to Target
Build army lists to a target points value. Enter unit costs and quantities to track your total and remaining points.
How We Calculate This
Simple addition of unit points multiplied by their count, compared against your target.
Formula
- Total = Sum of (Unit points x Quantity) for each unit
- Remaining = Target points - Total points
Frequently Asked Questions
For Warhammer 40,000, standard games are typically 2,000 points. Age of Sigmar uses 2,000 points for matched play. Bolt Action typically runs at 1,000-1,500 points. Kings of War standard is 2,000 points. Check your game system for recommended sizes.
Most tournament rules require you to be at or under the limit. Getting within 50 points of the cap is considered good list building. Wasted points are wasted potential — try to get as close as possible.
Add the upgrade cost to the base unit cost before entering it. For example, if a unit costs 150pts base plus a 20pt weapon upgrade, enter 170 as the points per unit.
